Een nieuwe vriend
Op de taalcursus heb ik een nieuwe vriend gemaakt. Hij heet Achmed en komt uit Egypte. Achmed is nieuw in de groep. We oefenen samen Nederlands. Hij leert mij ook een paar woorden in het Arabisch.
In de pauze praten we vaak met elkaar. We houden allebei van voetbal. Soms gaan we na de les naar het park om te voetballen. Achmed kan goed met de bal omgaan en laat mij nieuwe trucjes zien. Na het spelen rusten we even uit op een bankje.
Op een dag nodigt Achmed me bij hem thuis uit. Zijn moeder maakt een heerlijk gerecht uit Egypte. Ik vind het erg lekker en vraag naar het recept. Tijdens het eten vertellen we over onze families.
Achmed en ik worden steeds betere vrienden. We lachen veel en helpen elkaar met de taal. Ik ben blij dat we elkaar op de cursus hebben ontmoet.

I have made a new friend on my language course. His name is Achmed and he comes from Egypt. Achmed is new to the group. We practise Dutch together. He also teaches me a few words in Arabic.
We often talk during the break. We both like football. Sometimes we go to the park after class to play. Achmed is good with the ball and shows me new tricks. After playing, we rest on a bench for a while.
One day Achmed invites me to his home. His mother makes a delicious dish from Egypt. I really like it and ask for the recipe. During the meal we talk about our families.
Achmed and I are becoming better friends. We laugh a lot and help each other with the language. I am glad we met on the course.
