Read the meaning

The sea is beautiful, but it can also be dangerous. There can be high waves and strong currents. Look carefully at the flags on the beach.

A red flag means: do not swim. The water is too dangerous. Stay on the beach and listen to the lifeguards. They supervise and help people who get into difficulty.

Are you unsure whether you can swim? Ask a lifeguard. Do not swim alone. Safety comes first.
