Remembering Amsterdam

Ik herinner me Amsterdam

Read the meaning
A year ago I went to Amsterdam with a friend. I thought it was a beautiful city with many canals and bridges. We took a boat tour and saw the old houses along the water. From the boat we could see many details clearly.
We also visited the Rijksmuseum. There we looked at paintings by Rembrandt and Vermeer. My friend read the information beside the paintings. I spent a little longer looking at a work I found especially beautiful.
Dam Square was busy. Street performers were playing music. Afterwards we walked to the flower market. I bought a tulip bulb to take home.
In the evening we ate in a restaurant by the water. We talked about everything we had seen that day. The food was good and we enjoyed the view. I still often think about that day. I hope I can return to Amsterdam soon.
